Gloria Patri
One of the oldest hymns and doxologies in Christianity, the Gloria Patri proclaims the sovereignty and equality of the three persons of the triune God. It became a common hymn in the church after the Council of Nicaea confirmed the deity of Christ and produced the Nicene Creed.
